Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use taheri.shop or talk to us, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated 4 October 2026.
Who we are
TAHERI (Taheri Collections) is a family jewellery house in Karachi, Pakistan. This policy covers taheri.shop, our counter, and the tools our staff use to run the shop, including our Meta app ("Taheri POS"). Questions go to the counter on WhatsApp at +92 335 2275553.
What we collect
When you browse taheri.shop — the pages you open and the buttons you use (for example Inquire or Save), counted with Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies. Your saved pieces, your bag, recently viewed pieces and your light or dark choice are kept in your own browser.
If you sign in (with Google) — your name, email address and photo from your Google account, and what you save to it: favourite pieces, and any orders placed through the site. Signing in is optional; you never need it to order.
When you buy at the counter or on WhatsApp — your name, phone number, delivery address where one is needed, and the details of the order and its payments. What an order on taheri.shop collects is set out in the next section.
When you message us on WhatsApp or Instagram — what you send us, kept in those apps.
When you order on taheri.shop
What an order collects:
- your name and WhatsApp number;
- an email address, if you choose to give one;
- your delivery address and city;
- your ring, bangle or kara size, where the piece has one;
- the transfer slip you upload (or send us on WhatsApp), with whatever your bank prints on it;
- the order itself: the pieces, their weights and prices, and its payments.
Why: to confirm your order with you on WhatsApp, to make it, to deliver it, and to account for it in our books.
Who sees it: the shop. Leopards, our courier, gets your name, phone number and address to deliver your parcel. It is stored in our database with Google Cloud (Firebase). Your number may be on the advertising lists described below, only ever as a one-way code, and we leave you out if you ask. We do not sell it.
How long: kept with the shop's accounts, for as long as the law requires.
Deleting it: message us on WhatsApp at +92 335 2275553; Deleting your data explains how it works. What the law requires us to keep for our accounts stays, with nothing beyond what that record needs.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you, price and make your piece, deliver it, keep our books, and tell you about new pieces if you have joined our WhatsApp community or channel. We do not sell your information.
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Our staff use our Meta app only to run our own advertising accounts, Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts: to read how our ads perform, to make, pause and change our ads, and to publish our own posts and stories. To show our ads to people who already buy from us, we may send Meta a list of our customers' phone numbers and email addresses, each turned into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) on our own server before it leaves; Meta matches the codes to its accounts and does not receive the numbers or addresses themselves. The app does not collect information about other people on Facebook or Instagram. Its access keys are kept in Google Cloud's Secret Manager. If you would rather not be included in these lists, tell us and we will leave you out.
Who else handles it
Google (the site's sign-in, analytics and our database, Google Cloud / Firebase), Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and our ads), our web host, and the courier that delivers an order (your name, phone and address). Each handles it under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Orders and payments are kept with the shop's accounts, for as long as the law requires. Everything else — a website account, your favourites, your place on an advertising list — is kept until you ask us to remove it.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted: message +92 335 2275553. How deletion works, including for anything that came through Facebook or Instagram, is on Deleting your data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date.
