Size guide
Rings, bangles and karay are made to size. When you order one, choose the size on the piece's page. This guide helps you find it.

Measuring your finger
- With a ring that fits: lay it on a ruler and measure across the inside, edge to edge, in millimetres. That is the inner diameter; find it in the table.
- With a strip of paper or a thread: wrap it round your finger at the knuckle — the ring has to pass over it. Mark where it meets, lay it flat on a ruler and read the length in millimetres. That is the inner circumference.
- Measure at the end of the day, when your hands are warm; fingers are smaller in the cold. Measure twice.
- Between sizes, go up. For a wide band, think about the next size up too.
We can check your size at the counter in Karachi.
Bangle and kara sizes
Bangles and karay are sized by the inside diameter, in inches and sixteenths: 2-4 means 2 and 4/16 inches, which is 2¼ inches.
| Size | Inside diameter (in) | Inside diameter (mm) | Inside circumference (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-2 | 2⅛ | 54.0 | 170 |
| 2-4 | 2¼ | 57.2 | 180 |
| 2-6 | 2⅜ | 60.3 | 190 |
| 2-8 | 2½ | 63.5 | 199 |
| 2-10 | 2⅝ | 66.7 | 209 |
| 2-12 | 2¾ | 69.9 | 219 |
The odd sizes — 2-1, 2-3, 2-5 and so on — sit in between. Each step is 1/16 inch (1.6 mm).
Measuring for a bangle
- With a bangle that fits: measure across the inside, edge to edge, in millimetres, and find it in the table.
- With a tape or a strip of paper: bring your thumb and little finger together, as if slipping a bangle on, and measure round the widest part of your hand. Choose the size whose inside circumference is the same or just above.
- Between sizes, go up.
Bracelets
Chain bracelets are usually 6.5 to 7.5 inches long. Measure round your wrist with a strip of paper, tell us the measurement and how loose you like it, and we will suggest the length.
Chains
Where a chain sits depends on your build; these are a guide.
| Length | Where it sits |
|---|---|
| 16 in (41 cm) | Close round the base of the neck. |
| 18 in (46 cm) | On the collarbone. |
| 20 in (51 cm) | A little below the collarbone. |
| 22 in (56 cm) | At about the neckline of a kameez or shirt. |
| 24 in (61 cm) | Lower, towards the middle of the chest. |
